C# Backend Software Developer

Job Location: Austin, Texas
The software developer role will work in a product team with other developers to help maintain and improve the Hive9 Web-based solution. The developer will be a vital member of a growing team that will help drive the product forward as our user base grows. The developer will be involved in all phases of the development lifecycle as an active contributor.
Responsibilities- Develop high-quality code that adheres to industry best practices
- Design and implement new product features
- Refactor existing code to follow best practices
- Diagnose and resolve issues and provide alternative solutions for areas of improvement
- Participate in code reviews
- Communicate effectively and accurately in writing and verbally to prospects, clients and staff
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, MIS or a related field
- Professional experience in development of Web-based software
- 5+ years of C# experience
- 5+ years of ASP.NET MVC experience
- Experience with Entity Framework
- Experience with MS SQL, including views and stored procedures
- Working knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, React.js and CSS
- Strong analytical reasoning abilities related to understanding software design and functionality
